The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) is returning to CONFEX in 2010, an annual MICE industry conference taking place in London from 23 -25 February. One of Malta's most notable chefs, Oliver Grech, will be preparing a number of Maltese delicacies on the MTA stand P220, which visitors are welcome to sample with some Maltese sparkling wines, beer and kinnie - the local speciality.
The MTA has already been whetting visitors' appetites in the run up to CONFEX by sending out special invitations with recipes for traditional Maltese dishes, including rabbit stew, Dead Man's Bones and Qaghaq ta' L-ghasel - Maltese treacle rings. Award-winning chef Grech will be preparing some of these dishes on the stand as well as offering a gastronomy presentation on the Taste of the World Bar on Tuesday and Wednesday 23 - 24 February at 1pm.
As the UK's leading event for the meetings and incentive industry, CONFEX is an ideal platform for Malta to showcase the islands' diverse conference and exhibition facilities to UK buyers. A team of dedicated MICE professionals from Malta will be on hand to give more information about the islands, whilst a number of co-exhibiting partners including Air Malta, Alpine Sterling Conferences and Incentives, InterContinental Malta, Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts Malta and Special Interest Travel Ltd will be able to assist buyers with any decision making processes.
Alex Incorvaja, UK & Ireland Director of the Malta Tourism Authority, comments: "We look forward to returning to CONFEX again in 2010, after our great success this year. This time we are going to have a number of co-exhibiting partners on our stand as well as one of Malta's most notable chefs, Oliver Grech, who will be preparing tasters of Maltese delicacies. Please do visit the stand to sample these tasty dishes"
Theresa Delia of Business Meetings Malta, the free conference venues finding company, will be present on Wednesday 23rd February 2010, so give her a call and see if Business Meetings Malta can help you with your conference or event in Malta.
