Corporate Race Regatta Team Building Event
Business Meetings Malta recommends this day as the perfect way to introduce your clients, customers and staff to the exhilaration and fun of yacht racing which, as well as being extremely exciting, is also a fantastic way of getting people to work together as a unit and engage in team building activities.
Your group will be divided into teams and introduced to your racing yacht and skipper. All skippers are friendly and outgoing and are hand picked because of their expertise and professionalism. The day is split into a training session, followed by several short but adrenaline packed races. If you want to collect the winner's trophy at the end of the day it is imperative that all members of the team work together.
You can get as "hands on" as you want, your skipper is there to help you with every aspect of sailing, ranging from steering the yacht, hoisting and trimming the sails, tacking and jibbing. You will soon realize that there is a lot more to this sport than first meets the eye, and if you want to do well it is imperative that the crew work as a team.
ITINERARY.
Your day will start with pastries and coffee and a full briefing. Safety equipment will then be issued and you will depart for race training. Training will end at the first race line which is where things start to get interesting, as you compete with the other yachts in close quarter manoeuvres attempting to gain the perfect starting position.
The first race will end at a secluded bay where all the yachts will anchor for lunch. This will consist of a scrumptious buffet and will be accompanied by a cold beer or glass of wine. After lunch enjoy a cooling swim or a sunbathe, before you get back to the action. You will enter a further 2 action packed races on the way home, getting you back alongside for about 5pm.
The day will end with tea and cakes, or a cold glass of something, and a winner's ceremony as the victorious crew are awarded the winners trophy.
This is a great team-building day and is guaranteed to leave you feeling exhilarated, exhausted and full of wonderful memories.
