Auto Production Line

This is a great teambuilding event whereby teams have to build and race a car made out of cardboard. It is a fabulous team event, which includes communication skills, group consensus, teamwork and quality. Although all team members share in the building of the car, two team members will pull the car and only one can ride to the finish line. When the winner crosses the finish line it is a victory for the entire event.

The Building

The group is split up in smaller teams, of 5-10 participants in each team. Each team is supplied with large sheets of cardboard, wooden wheels, metal shafts & sockets, tape, tie clips, scissors, and a piece of rope. Out of the material given, teams have to plan, design and build a car that will actually carry one passenger.

The Presentation

Besides the actual building of the car, teams have to come up with a presentation for their car. The presentation has to include a briefing on the special features of the car, a song and a dance. During the presentation judges will give points depending on the originality, performance and teamwork shown.

The Race

And finally, we test the quality of the cars as all teams have to put their cars on the starting line and race them. With one of their team mates inside the car wearing a helmet and a pair of gloves, the team has to pull the car as fast as they can.
